Aerie Trio will be returning to our Musical Melange series on Sunday, April 26th at 2:00 pm. If you saw their concert in November, you will know what an accomplished trio they are, playing a range of diverse classical music. There will be music you recognize along with some which will be delightfully new. For this concert, Diane Berry, flute, and Kathryn Le Gros, piano, will be joined by Sandra Espinola on cello.
You will hear pieces from diverse time periods with music by Bach and Haydn, as well as the beautiful impressionistic music of Claude Debussy and Philippe Gaubert. They will also be performing four pieces from Diane Berry’s Vancouver Island Suite which is featured on their recently released, critically acclaimed CD, Water, Rock, Tree, Sky.
“Gorgeous melodies abound and the open harmonies of the trio leave room for the music to breathe.” (David Reed, Belleville Intelligencer)
“the music instills beautiful images in our minds and an openness to contemplation.”
(Frederic Cardin – PanM360)
